Musah Abubakar is a Graduate student in the Middle East and Islamic Studies (MEIS) program at George Mason University and a Summer 2019 Maydan Intern. Musah started his undergraduate studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana) and completed it at the Ohio State University (USA) with a major in Economics and a minor in History. After his undergraduate studies, Musah studied at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. Musah’s current research examines contemporary Muslim societies with a focus on Muslim Societies in Africa.
