We are pleased to announce you that our colloquium series will continue with our speaker Dr.Peter Mandaville. His talk “Designating Muslims: Islam in American Governmentality will explore the various ways in which Muslims have come to be constituted as discrete objects of governance in the years following 9/11, both domestically and globally. Please join us for this engaging talk.

About the Speaker

Dr. Peter Mandaville is Professor of International Affairs in the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. He is the author of the books Islam & Politics (Routledge, 2014) and Transnational Muslim Politics: Reimagining the Umma (Routledge, 2001) as well as many other edited co-edited volumes, journal articles, and media commentary pieces.
