Walaa Quisay & Thomas Parker

Walaa Quisay is a final year DPhil student at the University of Oxford. Her research pertains to “Neo-traditionalism” in the West; how neo-traditionalist scholars and seekers navigate modernity, tradition, and politics. She is currently a visiting fellow at Istanbul Şehir University’s sociology department where she teaches “Sociology of the Heritage of Islam”. Thomas Parker is currently doing his MA in Civilization Studies at Ibn Haldun University. His interests include Ottoman History and Islamic Political Thought and attempts to study Islamic sciences on the side.
