Abdulhamit Kırmızı is professor of History at Istanbul Sehir University and teaches Historiography; Late Ottoman History; Formations of Modern Turkey; Auto/Biography; Psychology, and History and Memory. After visiting primary, middle and high schools in Marl, Germany and Zonguldak, Turkey, he studied Public Administration at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University, received his MA degree from the History Department of Hacettepe University and his PhD from the History program at Boğaziçi University. He was a Visiting Fellow at SOAS, University of London in 2009, with a postdoctoral scholarship from the The British Academy. His publications include four books and dozens of articles, mostly on late Ottoman history, its public and provincial administration, and prosopographical and biographical studies (see https://sehir.academia.edu/AbdulhamitKIRMIZI ). He is proud of being a founding co-editor of TALID (Türkiye Arastirmalari Literatür Dergisi/Turkish Studies Review).
