GRADUATE STUDENT COLLOQUIUM ON ISLAMIC AND MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES, April 8-9, 2017

Maydan is pleased to collaborate on Diyanet Islamic Research Institute’s Graduate Student Colloquium on Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies on April 8th-9th, 2017. The 2017 inaugural meeting will address three broad themes: History, Memory, and Identity.

Co-organized by the Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University, the colloquium will bring together more than thirty graduate students from all branches of social sciences and humanities to foster exchange of ideas and research and build networks among researchers from multiple disciplines.

We are lucky to be joined by a diverse of group of scholars who will provide feedback to the papers presented. A keynote address will also be delivered by Dr. Ahmet T. Karamustafa from the University of Maryland, College Park at 7pm on Saturday, April 8th.
